We are seeking talented postdoctoral fellows to join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of scientists focused on early stage translational research. The California Institute for Biomedical Research (Calibr) is a not-for-profit research institute located in La Jolla, California in close proximity to the Scripps Research Institute, Salk, Burnham and UCSD. Calibr is focused on innovative early stage translational research in collaboration with academic partners in the areas of regenerative medicine, cancer biology, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, immunology and infectious disease. Activities include high through-put cell-based screens, synthetic and medicinal chemistry, protein chemistry and engineering, cellular and organismal studies of drug action and elucidation of drug targets/mechanisms of action. Postdoctoral fellows will work as part of a team of scientists to identify and characterize small molecules or proteins that modulate novel biological pathways or processes and represent new therapeutic approaches to unmet medical needs. Work will be published in high impact, peer-reviewed journals
