美国国家儿童医学中心招聘发展性神经科学博士后
A postdoctoral position is available in the Torii laboratory at the Center for Neuroscience Research, Children’s National Medical Center located in Washington, DC. The goal of our research is to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the development of fundamental neural circuits responsible for various brain functions and dysfunctions. We are currently investigating how neurons in the cerebral cortex – a part of the brain contributing to higher cognitive functions – are assembled into functional cortical columns, and how cortical neurons establish specific neuronal connections with other parts of the brain during development.
The environment at the Center for Neuroscience Research is highly interactive and fosters collaboration across groups with focusing on developmental neuroscience. Our laboratory is also affiliated with George Washington University with full access to their core facilities
Highly motivated MD/PhD or PhD scientists trained in Neuroscience, Developmental Biology, or related fields are welcome to apply. The position will be starting in Fall-Winter 2012. To apply, please e-mail your CV, research interests and future plans, and contact information of two to three references to: Mtorii@cnmcresearch.org
