Postdoctoral Research Position in Molecular Microbiology
University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Indiana, USA.
The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Notre Dame seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the laboratory of Dr. Shaun Lee. Research in the laboratory focuses on the virulence functions of peptide cytotoxins in the pathogenic bacteria Streptococcus pyogenes as well as mechanisms of peptide-based toxin biosynthesis. The laboratory pursues a multidisciplinary approach including microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Competitive candidates must have a Ph.D. degree and publications from doctoral research in the fields of microbiology, bacterial pathogenesis, molecular biology, or biochemistry.
