A postdoctoral position is open in the laboratory of Philippe Bousso, within the Department of Immunology at the Institut Pasteur, Paris. This position is funded through an ERC grant.

The research in our laboratory (http://www.pasteur.fr/recherche/unites/dri/) aims at identifying new rules that govern the initiation of innate and adaptive immune responses and their mode of action when fighting tumors or infectious agents. To this end, we are relying on multiphoton intravital imaging and a combination of new probes to detect signals and outcome of individual cell-cell interactions in vivo. Current projects in the lab are focused on T cell and NK cell activation in secondary lymphoid organs (Beuneu et al. Immunity 2010) and on effector responses in developing tumors (Deguine et al. Immunity 2010) or during infections (Filipe Santos et al. Cell Host Microbe 2009).

Motivated candidates should hold a PhD, have a solid background in cellular immunology and good oral and written communication skills in English
