There is an opportunity for an ambitious, creative, and hard-working postdoctoral scientist to join the new research group of Dr. Thomas Cherpes. Although newly formed, we believe our lab environment and resources will allow the motivated applicant the opportunity to collaborate on meaningful research and demonstrate independence.

The Cherpes Group is interested in the host response to infectious disease in the female genital tract, and currently consists of 3 research technicians and 1 postdoctoral scientist. Reporting directly to Dr. Cherpes, you will advise and lead both basic and clinical immunologic research on host responses in the female genital tract that are elicited by bacterial and viral infections.

The successful applicant will hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant area and have previous experience in the investigation of disease pathogenesis or mucosal immunology. An excellent publication record is preferred, but passion for discovery and the ability to work independently and under your own initiative are essential.
