City of Hope is an innovative biomedical research, treatment and educational institution dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases, and guided by a compassionate patient-centered philosophy.

The Williams lab is seeking a postdoctoral student with extensive experience in protein production (bacterial, insect, and mammalian cell lines), purification methods, crystallization and structure determination by diffraction methods. The student will participate in the Developmental Cancer Therapeutics program and work closely with synthetic organic chemists, cancer biologists and clinicians. The lab is well equipped including multiple FPLCs, refrig. incubators and biosafety hoods. The X-ray core facility has a crystallization robot, two crystallization imagers and a Rigaku diffractometer, all maintained under service contracts. The student will also have immediate access to an analytical ultracentrifuge (Beckman XLI), an isothermal titration calorimeter (TA Inst nanoITC), and a Biacore T100.
