Postdoctoral researcher will be hired on the project “Towards a meteotsunami warning system along the U.S. coastline (TMEWS)”, and will work on all tasks and actions planned within the project, including the preparation of high-quality research publications. Successful applicant will have to have knowledge in both oceanography and atmospheric sciences, and have an experience in environmental observing systems, especially with these which are used in rapid environmental assessment and real-time observing facilities.

The position is opened from 1 October 2011 for 12 months, and will be extended for additional 9 months in the case of the second year project approval.
