Job Description
We have an opening for a NIH-funded post-doc position in our lab at School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley. In our laboratory, we are developing attenuated strains of Salmonella as gene delivery tools for treatment of infectious and other diseases (Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA. 108, 3222 and Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U. S. A. 107, 7269). Other projects include investigation of the roles of Salmonella non-coding small RNAs in bacterial pathogenesis (PLoS Pathogens, in press).
We are currently seeking a post-doc with strong background in microbial pathogenesis and/or immunology to evaluate the immune response to Salmonella strains and role of Salmonella small RNAs in tissue culture and in the mouse model. Applicants with extensive experiences and strong publication record in microbial pathogenesis and immunology are encouraged to apply. If interested, please send CV to Dr. Sangwei Lu at Sangwei@berkeley.edu
