Recruiter: University of St Andrews
Six Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Topological Protection and Non-Equilibrium States in Strongly Correlated Electron Systems
As part of a major new EPSRC sponsored Programme Grant between the universities of St Andrews, Edinburgh and Oxford, we are embarking on an exciting joint research project investigating the topological properties of matter in equilibrium and beyond.
The ambitious research will include candidate topological superconductors, the search for topological effects at domain boundaries in unconventional superconductors, photoemission studies of topological insulators and the study of out of equilibrium coupled light-matter systems.
At the core of the Programme will be six post-doctoral fellows. We seek candidates with outstanding potential to conduct original research and to contribute to a cohesive research environment spanning the Programme.
Three experimental posts and one theoretical post will be based in St Andrews, one experimental post in Edinburgh and one theoretical post in Oxford.
Salary will be in the range £29,972-£35,788 per annum.
Full details of the proposed research, the individual posts and how to apply can be found at www.st-and.ac.uk/physics/topnes
Informal enquiries are welcomed, and should be made to: Prof A.P. Mackenzie (apm9@st-andrews.ac.uk) Programme Leader, Dr F. Baumberger (fb40@st-andrews.ac.uk), Prof A.D. Huxley (a.huxley@ed.ac.uk) Dr J.M.J. Keeling (jmjk@st-andrews.ac.uk) or Prof S.H. Simon (s.simon1@physics.ox.ac.uk).
