computational postdoc/research associate : Toronto, Canada

The He lab at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (http://hansenhelab.org) is currently seeking two computational postdoctoral fellows/research associates to take lead of research projects in the field of prostate cancer genomics and epigenomics. The salary range for these positions will be (CAN)$60k-80k, depends on research experience and performance. Trainees are expected to travel once or twice each year to visit collaborator’s laboratory in P.R China. Candidates with strong background in genomics, epigenetics, molecular/cancer biology and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications for Computational Postdoctoral Fellow/research associates

• Background in next generation sequencing data (WGS, RNA-seq and DNA methyl-seq) integration 

• Recent Ph.D in bioinformatics and related areas

• Strong programming skills (Python|Perl|C|C++|Java|R)

• Knowledge of prostate cancer biology is an asset

• Demonstrated excellent publication record of scientific achievement

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong scientific writing and presentation skill

• Demonstrated record of interdisciplinary collaboration

• Self-motivated, independent and creative
