美国密歇根州立大学招聘艾滋病研究博士后
NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are immediately available to study HIV-1 accessory proteins Vpr and Nef. We will investigate how these viral proteins counteract newly defined host restrictions and elucidate the molecular mechanism of how these novel restrictions inhibit HIV-1 replication. In addition, we will study HIV-1 envelope (Env) glycoprotein biogenesis in the secretory pathway and understand how HIV-1 Env is targeted to the ER-associated degradation (ERAD) for degradation. Moreover, we will investigate the role of autophagy pathway in HIV-1 replication.
Candidates should have a strong background in virology with cell biology and molecular biology expertise including cloning, RNA interference, CRISPR/Cas9, immunoprecipitation, Mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, and RNA-seq.
Candidates must have a recent PhD in a relevant biological field, and a demonstrated track record of productive research with first author publications.
