We have an opportunity for a junior post-doctoral fellow to join our research group consisting of MSc/PhD students and visiting professors. Our research group is dedicated to scientific investigation in the following areas:1) using biotechnological approaches to enhance animal production and disease-resistance; 2) Regulation of ovarian follicle development and oocyte maturation
This position is ideally suited to a highly motivated candidate who is enthusiastic in one or more of the above areas. The candidate must have a PhD degree with outstanding training in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology. The candidate must possess excellent working knowledge of standard laboratory tasks, and be familiar with the latest technologies for investigating gene function. The applicant must have an excellent publication record and must be highly motivated with the drive to succeed. Prior experience with yeast manipulation, as well as live animal experience is an asset. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
The position is available for two years and renewable, based on performance and the availability of funding. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
