The lab of Dr. Qing Yu at the Department of Immunology and Infectious Disease, the Forsyth Institute, has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to study the function of cytokines and T cells in the pathogenesis of autoimmune Sjӧgren’s syndrome. The position is expected to start in spring/summer of 2014.
The Forsyth Institute is a world’s leading oral health research institution. It is affiliated to Harvard School of Dental Medicine and located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in close vicinity to MIT and the Harvard University.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in immunology or a related field, and have considerable laboratory skills in cellular and molecular immunology. Proficient skills in multi-color flow cytometry, live mouse handling and injections, gene over-expression and silencing in mammalian cells, real-time PCR, in vitro culture and stimulation of immune cells, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and ELISA are preferred.
